Read the heated exchange between Bisping and Rivera before the awkward face off after the jump. Anyone think Rivera is all bark and no bite or is his suddenly placid demeanor just part of the pre-fight mind game?
Bisping:
"For me, I've got a big fight to prepare for. I'm fighting in the premier fighting organization in the world and I'm trying to behave accordingly. I'm a professional fighter; I'm not an idiot in the schoolyard making up silly rhymes and jokes and making stupid videos. This is a press conference, by the way, Jorge. This is what you do. I know it's your first time involved in something like this. Welcome to the big leagues. After this you'll be back to the undercard, believe me. I'm looking forward to the fight, I'm looking forward to correcting him on a few of his opinions. I believe he's massively underestimated me and I'm looking forward to making a fool out of him on the night. I'm talking now but I want to do most of my talking on the night. I'm going to do my talking with my fists, punches, kicks, knees, elbows, jiu-jitsu, wrestling. Half of that stuff, he doesn't know what it is. Jorge's a relic, he's a throwback to the beginning of mixed martial arts. I'm a complete mixed martial artist and I'll be showing him that on the night. And I'll do most of my talking then."
Rivera:
"I look forward to that."
Bisping:
"And so do I. Oh, I'm sorry have you not got your script? You've got to think for yourself up here now."Rivera:
"I'm ready. Whenever you're ready. I'm done talking."
Bisping:
"Looking at the last video, I can't imagine it was scripted. That is something my nine year old son would come up with, so if it was scripted, I do feel very very sorry for them. Um... yeah."
Who's suddenly excited to see if Rivera can indeed back up his talk this Saturday night inside the Octagon?
