There was no Cinderalla story for Shane Roller.
The Team Takedown fighter pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind victory against Thiago Tavares in his UFC debut with a miracle knockout after being thoroughly pummeled in the first round.
On the final UFC 132 Spike TV preliminary fight, Melvin Guillard made sure he wouldn't be coming back by knocking him down and keeping him down.
From the beginning of the fight, it was obvious that Guillard was just a little too quick and too powerful for Roller to handle.
After the fight was temporarily stopped when an anxious Guillard accidentally poked Roller in the eye, they reset and Guillard was out for blood.
Both men connected with hooks at the same time but it was Roller who went down.
The Oklahoma fighter worked his way back to his feet but not for long as Guillard sent him tumbling back down with a big knee to the head and some follow-up strikes. Guillard then pounced the downed Roller and finished him off with some hammerfists from above to put an exclamation point on his victory.
